Are you 12-17 years old and have ever wanted to learn to row? Are you looking for something to do? Looking for a hobby that has a strong sense of belonging and teamwork and encourages diversity and inclusivity?

Did you watch Boys in the Boat or read Lessons in Chemistry and wonder what all the fuss is about?

Spokane River Rowing is an inclusive rowing club that values community, friendship, diversity, health, and fun, and we want to help you get on the water with us.

Join our Youth Learn to Row (ages 12-17) classes on Silver Lake this Spring and gain the skills to row all summer long. The Learn to Row series will consist of once-per-week classes for 4 weeks, Sundays from 8:00am-11:00am.

When: A 4-day series 8-11AM on July 28th, August 4, 11, 18
Ages: 12-17
Cost:  $200; financial assistance available
Location: Public Boat Launch – Silver Lake

This will be similar to our popular Learn to Row program for adults, but targeted for youth rowers. You will learn the basics of rowing crew-style boats and get out on the water in 4- or 8-person rowing shells. We will teach the rowing stroke and how to move the boats efficiently through the water.
